Website Event - K9 Games

Saturday, August 27 (12pm-5pm)
Hosted by comedian Jeff Leeson!

A full day of fun and games for dogs of all skill levels to participate in with their human. Geared towards FUN as opposed to obedience, even children can take part with the family pet. Spectators can enjoy watching or taking part in the events to win prizes or just have some good old fun! It’s FREE!

Games Schedule:

11:30am-12pm
Registration & Musical Mats Warmup

Get warmed up for the K9 Games! Arrive early and participate in this fun pre-games activity. Everyone knows musical chairs, but Musical Mats is even more of a hoot! Pair up with your dog and go ’round and ’round until the music stops. If you and your dog can’t find a mat, you’re out!

12pm-12:15pm
Opening Ceremonies

12:30pm-1:30pm
Breadstick Retrieve Challenge

Ever tried playing fetch with an edible stick? That’s exactly what this challenge is all about! If you can get your dog to bring back the breadstick without eating it, a gold medal may be yours!

2pm-3pm
Longest Stay Contest

See how long your dog can stay put for. You’ll either be pleased with his obedience, or delighted that your dog just can’t be without you! Either way, there’ll be plenty of laughs and prizes!

3:30pm-4:50pm
Ultimate Recall Challenge

Does your dog come when you call, even if there are cookies and toys everywhere? Compete to find out how easily your dog is distracted. We’re willing to bet more than one pup will succumb to the temptations in his path!

4:50p-5pm
Closing Ceremonies

Please RSVP to Melissa Eckersley with the following information:

1. Your name
2. Dog’s name
3. Dog’s age
4. Dog’s breed
5. One fun fact about your dog
6. Which games you’d like to participate in

This information will help our K9 Games MC get to know you and your dog for great, personalized commentary.
We will also have forms on site for you to fill out should you wish to simply drop in on the day of the event without an RSVP.
