dMany clients who sign up to us for the first time ask the following question: “My dog doesn’t like to get a haircut, snaps, maybe even bites. Can you handle it? ” It’s no secret that every dog has its own character – someone loves to swim, someone is afraid of a hairdryer, someone does not like strangers.
How to train your dog to trim?

So that the dog does not treat the trip to the pet salon as a hard labor, you need to accustom your pet to a haircut from childhood. In this case, it is desirable that each time there was a new master, but in the same salon. Then the dog will not be afraid of this place, and will admit any groomer to him. To do this, we offer clients to register their puppy from 3 months of age – we do hygiene (not a haircut!). It includes: edging of paws, ears and groin; trimming claws; bathing at will. We do not recommend completely cutting a puppy until 1 year old, as all the calcium can go not on the teeth, but on the growth of the coat.
What if an adult dog doesn’t like to get a haircut?

It often happens that already an adult dog does not like to be cut. Perhaps the fact is that earlier she was caused a lot of stress – it was painful to comb, the shampoo got into the eyes when washing, or accidentally scratched the skin with scissors. In this case, you need to prove to the dog that this procedure is not so scary, and the injury will not happen again. How?

Choose a master for your dog, with whom she will find a “common language”. After all, dogs, like humans, have their own character – a professional groomer understands this and tries to find an individual approach to each of his four-legged clients. For your part, look for the perfect groomer – the one who will pacify your rebellious furry. Try it, choose new masters until you find a suitable one that your pet will love as a friend.

There is a misconception that the dog is less nervous when the owner is nearby during the grooming. But, in our experience, everything is exactly the opposite – when the owner is nearby, even the calmest dog can start to be capricious, giving everything that is “unpleasant” to her. When the dog is alone with the master, they behave more calmly. Don’t worry about the procedure – you will be able to observe the groomer’s, in which cameras are installed, through the TV screen.
